We’re also growing fast, and that’s where you come in - we need to add to our team and we’re looking for an experienced projects director who shares our passion and beliefs.

The role
We're looking for an experienced operations minded person to lead our great team of account managers to deliver projects to the scope and our Squaredot quality standard, within agreed budgets and timelines.

With our focus being on the B2B tech brands, we are looking for people drawn to this landscape, who have knowledge of the industry and a deep interest in how it operates.

Ultimately accountable for maximising client satisfaction and value, the Projects Director will also be responsible for ensuring all agency teams work together to provide a consistent level of product and service delivery.

Responsibilities

Client management:

  • Learn Squaredot’s approach to marketing, and then be the guardian of standards across every project.
  • Own the capacity, throughput and deadlines of agency work
  • Lead and drive our clients projects to the finish line on time and to budget
  • With your team take a strategic brief and turn it into clear instructions for strategists, writers, designers and realistic budgets and timescales for clients
  • Work with your team of account managers to deliver efficient day-to-day management of the projects
  • Supported by our team of experts, advise clients on the best choices to make within the projects
  • Retain and grow client relationships
  • Improving communications between teams and clients
  • Demonstrate clear and measurable value to client relationships.

Managing the agency account management team and resources:

  • Manage our account management team enabling and encouraging them to perform to the best of their ability while making sure they enjoy what they do
  • Manage agency resources as they are required to deliver projects now, whilst keeping an eye on what resources are required in the future (2 - 4 months) so we can manage resources effectively.
  • Understand and track project scope, and scope of value in order to achieve agency growth
  • Deliver creative and strategic problem solving to help the agency have more successful relationships with clients
  • Work closely with operations and business development to support growth of agency, client accounts, and external freelance teams
  • Assist in recruitment for roles within the project and account management team to support its growth

A little about you
You’ll have experience. Preferably in B2B marketing specifically, ideally on the agency side but both of these are nice-to-haves rather than essential.

A positive can-do attitude and excellent project management skills on the other hand are essential. You're focused on solutions, enjoy multi-tasking and like managing a team.

Under your watch, client work gets done on time, within the agreed scope and on budget. You are able to brief other team members on what needs to be done and manage teams and timelines. You’ll ensure the client and the team inhouse both know what’s going on, why and when. You enjoy building a rapport with clients and be accountable for their happiness.

Clients will love you because you ensure that we get work done and done well. We in the agency will love you cause you make clients happy and make our team of managers feel supported.

Experience / Qualities

  • 6+ years of senior project management experience, ideally including an experience of working in a marketing agency
  • In-depth marketing knowledge and experience, B2B marketing experience ideal
  • Experience managing a team of high performing client service professionals with a focus on guiding and mentoring
  • Commercially astute with experience of managing client budgets
  • Ability to build and maintain key relationships with client teams and internal leads, including strategy and creative team leads.
  • Experience in managing inbound marketing campaigns, tactics and activities. If you know your way around Hubspot, that’s a great start.
  • Strong organisational skills. Project management superstar.
  • Proficient in English - you need to be able to understand native speakers (via calls too), speak and write fluently so you can communicate with the clients and the rest of the team.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal mandatory - interpretative dance optional)
  • Great attitude, no job is too big or too small
  • Obsessive attention to detail
  • Clockwork time management skills
